SWAG EV joins forces with Grab Thailand in launching “Grab Green Wheels X SWAG” programme

The programme provides 50 SWAG electric motorcycles to Grab delivery-partners in Bangkok and vicinity areas, as an eco-friendly alternative for service provision, which can save fuel and maintenance costs. The initiative aims to reduce carbon emission by more than 100 tons within one year.
Presiding the programme opening ceremony, Premrutai Vinaiphat, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Energy,
“Driving the transition to transport electrification in Thailand is among the Ministry of Energy’s top strategic priorities, as electric vehicles (EV) prove to be a sustainable clean-energy solution to fuel and oil shortages, and air pollution problems, namely PM2.5. Thailand sees a constant increase in the number of electric vehicles within the past five years, which is consistent with energy-saving technology trends and a call to reduce the reliance on fossil fuels.
The Ministry has continuously driven the policy, especially the preparation for electric power systems to meet rising consumption as well as plans to increase EV charging stations. We are pleased that private organizations like Grab Thailand and SWAG EV share the same vision for promoting electric vehicle usage, particularly the adoption in the currently popular food delivery services via applications, and for creating awareness along with understanding about the benefits of EV.”
